I created 2 Business Units, Finance and Sales.
I created Event Entity and modified 2 security roles (Finance Manager and Sales Manager) to have Business Unit Level access on Event entity.
I now logged in with finance manager user and created couple of records, and am able to share the records with Sales Manager user who is of another Business Unit (Sales)
Ideally as per configuration on Security roles, should not allow sharing the Event record with other users of other Business Unit.
Please let me why it is behaving this way.
Thanks

Hi Kishore , Please check whether the Finance manager role is having Share permission at Organisation level . If so please restrict your permission to Business Unit level so as to share records only within your Business units
Hi Kishore,
Please check if your user is a member of some team having roles on Event Entity.
Hi Kishore,
The two Business Units that you created? Are the independent business units? Or is one a parent child of the other. (ex. Did you create the "business" Business Unit, and have it roll up to the Finance Business Unit?
If you only want the Finance Manager to share records within his or her business unit, then you will need to adjust the permissions to "business unit" and not the Parent Child.
I hope that this helps.

What is their sharing permission for the custom record? can you screenshot the security role permissions for your custom entity?
No. It is different business units
Hi,
Please check if these two security roles belong to the same Business Unit? If not there is no other way to share the records except through teams.
thanks,
