Save Changes to CRM with Immersive Excel Online

A user with full permissions to all import-related entities has tried to update Contact records using Excel Online. No lookup or picklist fields were manually edited--only text fields in this entity. The odd thing is that the Import Source File record displays 0 total records imported. If this is due to the 5-minute refresh on data, it would be great if the Excel Online spreadsheet were saved somewhere in CRM.

Is it possible to retrieve the import file from Excel Online imports?

    Hi Jack,

I was curious and tried the same thing as you, adding new contact via the excel online integrated feature.

And i was able to see the records counts :

Are you missing some permissions ? What version do you have ?
Here in the view, i had 587 contacts and i just created one more on the top of the list, and the import job correctly says that i've "updated" 588 contacts.
I indeed agree with you that the excel file could really help to debug any issues during import but ...

@Clément: What happens when you save changes after more than 5 minutes?

    same result, it's working.

What version of the CRM do you have ?

    Any permissions issue ?

User has Organization privileges for all import entities and actions. This is CRM Online (8.1.0.xxx).
