Is there a way to see a running tally of ending inventories after transactions?

There is no intrinsic data for this. You could write a report using Crystal or SSRS, take each item with it's current balance, and list each transaction for that item in reverse date/time order and calculate the balance before for the next transaction line. The list of transactions is available but it does not have running totals

Do you mean kind of like the check register I might keep in my handbag? Put deposits in , take checks out, the far right column always has the balance?
