Hello,
I have one user who is unable to view any account views through the Outlook client. Other entities load just fine. When he attempts to access Accounts or Set Regarding against an Account record the view just spins without returning any results. I can view accounts just fine through the web client.
We are on UR 17. I've ran a repair on the client. Didn't work. After uninstalling and re-installing the client the problem went away initially and everything worked fine for a short while then the problem returned.
Other users with the exact same security profiles, URs, Outlook versions, etc... are not experiencing this issue. I suspect it must be an issue specific to this user's machine but I can't pinpoint the problem.
My next step is to try installing UR 18 and have the user clear the cache with the CRM Diagnostic tool.
Has anyone come across this issue before? This is the first time I've ever had anything remotely this strange occur with CRM and the Outlook client in the nine years we've been running Dynamics CRM. (It's probably something simple right under my nose!)
Any help would be appreciated.
Damian

I have the same question (0)Do you get any kind of error messages on the account entity in the CRM client for outlook .
The error messages which I have come across in the past would read "CRM failed to load " and in the ribbon bar it may simply say " waiting for a page to be retrieved from the CRM server"
Just to confirm it’s the issue with only once user .
In such a case I would like for you to have a check if that user has any kind of personal view set up for the account entity ?
If there is a personal view set up as default I would request you to change it to an Out of Box view and then see if the error reproduces. And also please make note that the CRM server as well as the CRM client for outlook should be ideally at the same update roll up.
Also I would like for you to enable outlook client tracing by selecting diagnostics and then Reproducing the issue and then please provide the error logs for further issue.
If you happen to see the following error message
"Inner Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Instance validation error: 'eq-useroruserteams' is not a valid value for operator."
Then please do the following
Set the system filter criteria as
Group OR
- Equals Current User
- Equals Current User's Teams.
Please mark my answer as verified if you found it useful.
