Tagging CIP Assets, then Fixed Asset changes Number?

When the CIP process starts, a number is associated with it, and the item is tagged. However, when it transfers to Fixed Assets, the number changes. You have to manually go in and change the number to the CIP number to align with the asset tagging. Is there a configuration where the tag number stays the same between CIP and Fixed assets when transferred to minimize manual fix? Thanks

    Hi Timmy,

Can you explain with more details about your process and how you intend to use this in Dynamics 365? Which forms and functionality are you using? Can you also confirm if the abbreviation CIP stands for Construction in Progress?
