How to change ROI printer?

(0) ShareShare

When doing the Allocation Processor (PA.PRO.00) screen , it automatically sends it to the printer. One of my users would like to print it as a PDF and not send it to the printer. She doesn't need this on all reports, so changing the settings in SL will not work. How can I go about changing the printer for this 1 report?

I have handled this kind of requirement for one of my client.

Try the following steps.  Hope this helps

    1) Open Alloc. Proc/GL Posting Audit report under Project Controller module. Since this report is printing while the Allocation processor printing

    2) Click the Printer Option

    3)  Select the "Print to File Option"

    4)  Click the Setup button and specify the file type like PDF/XML/CSV etc..

    5)  Select the Template tab of ROI

    6) Click the Save Template button

    7)  Enter the Template ID and Description whatever you need

    8)  Also select the "Save Current Printer settings with the Template" option. This will save the printer settings along with the template.

    9) Click Ok button to completed the Template Saving process

    10) Load that template as default and the system will print that report as file under specified location

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello Candice82,

You can try the below option in your SL client system. you need to do the setup against the particular user.

1.Go to Printer Setup which is in Application option available top right corner of Dynamics SL 2011.

2.check the Print To file option.

Perumalsamy, I see what you are saying, but the user doesn't want to change all of her reports to using the print to PDF, just one.
