I have been trying to get a total of a report, which couldn't be achieved using regular,

=Sum(Fields!SquareFt.Value)

as the main field value is being multiplied depending upon Notes. So the total isn't shown correct.

How can I fix this to get correct total.

Easiest solution would be create another dataset without joining notes and get the sum from that dataset like Sum(Fields!FieldName.Value, "DatasetName").

Did you consider, creating a sub-report with just that value and insert that sub-report in that cell.

    Hi Raviteja,

    I would suggest few things

    1) In case you have a custom field named as 'Squareft' in Data Set

If you do have such a custom field in your data set, then the field must be having some calculation too as your field value is being multiplied by notes.

Suggestion: Here I would suggest you to use the native field or the original field from the data base or the attribute from the CRM (with which you must be multiplying the notes field) in the calculation  =Sum(Fields!SquareFt.Value) instead of the 'SquareFt' field.

    2) In case you don't have a custom field name 'Squareft' in Data Set

If you don't have a custom field in named as 'Squareft' in Data Set then I will suggest you to have one.

This field's expression should not have the calculation where you multiply the the OG attribute value with the notes.

    3) If 'Squareft' is  the original field

Kindly let me know if either of them does work for you.

Thank you. Created a dataset to sum up the field values and used the expression in the total field
