Retired Asset still showing LTD Depreciation on Smartlist/Data Connections

We sold/retired one of our assets last year, yet it is still showing a LTD Depreciation amount on any Smartlists or Excel reports we run from GP. Is there any way to remove this? Currently we have to manually delete that row anytime we want to review and balance to GL totals.

Thanks in Advance!

Jena

    Hi Jena,

I think the default SmartList shows by default the retired assets as well (though I need to validate that).

has created a view to use within Excel or SmartList Builder/Designer to show the Assets depreciation, in which you could just add a condition to filter out the retired ones..

I am having this same problem.

After retiring an asset, the Cost Basis shows 0.00, but the LTD Depreciation Amount still shows up on a SmartList report.

The only solution that I have discovered is to Delete the Asset ID from the system using Financial>>>Utilities>>>Fixed Assets>>>Delete.    Each Asset ID must be deleted individually.

    Is there another way?

I have the same issue! Has anyone resolved this? Why does the cost come out but not the depreciation?

You need to include the Asset General Information master table. That way you can search on the asset status field for assets that are not retired. Use either the SmartList Designer or the Smartlist Builder to build a new SmartList.
