System isn't saving column layout changes

We are new to CRM 2013 Online and have been trying to make some changes to the layout of our columns in any screen but when we save them, the system is not retaining them. Can we change the existing layouts of the default search lists? Is there a setting that we are missing?

Hm..simple question, I dont know, have you published the customization (unpublished customization will not appear).

Being new to CRM 2013, I am not sure what you mean by "Published". I "saved" the layout but doesn't reflect it. Am I totally missing something? Thank you!

This leads to the next question... where do you do your changes? Under Settings/Customizations?

Below is a screenshot from a german online Environment after clicking Settings/Customizations (this opens the Default solution)

You will have a "Publish all" button on the top of the "Solution".

Hi, after you save the view, your saved view will not appear until you publish it.

Peter already attach the picture, and here is the English version.

Here is after you edit and save your view, you can still see the 'Publish All Customizations"

Or you can publish by each entity
