Hi,

I want to translate my labels in report into more than 3 languages In electronic reporting.
Is it possible?

Right now I can see only three languages in Translation:

1. Default languages
2. System languages
3. user languages

    Hi Muthu,

This is possible. You can read the documentation. There is an option for manual translations, but also an export option to get labels in an XML file which can be used to translate it with help of e.g. the Dynamics Translation Service:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../er-design-multilingual-reports

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your response.

In Manual translation also the system is asking to enter in the system language or in user language text field .

In my case scenario is different

    Example:

My user language is in English and I want to run the report in French

Similarly i want to run my report in other 5 languages

    Is it possible?

This is for sales invoice because my customers are from different countries

    Hi Muthu,

Please read the documentation carefully. In the same fragment which you shared, it is stated that you can translate it into all languages supported within your Dynamics 365 Finance instance. Another part on this site is mentioning that it can use the customer language for the print.

The system and user languages are preferred languages which can be used for identification and building/modifying the business documents eaasier.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your response.
Yeah it is written that we can translate into all language But my scenario is bit different

Here we can translate into any language but for one report we can translate up to 3 language maximum.
We can print one report in these three specified languages

    1. Default language
    2. system language
    3. user language

In my case I want to translate one report into 5 languages
I mean User should be able to print the report into english or french or spanish or german or japanese.

It will be great if you share some screenshots of print the report according to customer language as you said before.

    Again
    Thanks

I have a similar requirement. I'm extending a parent model to check translations. I want to translate existing labels. Or at least create new label ids and translate them.

I also referred to this doc, but it's unclear how to create new labels/translate existing labels.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../er-design-multilingual-reports

Another question, I want to see the existing labels list from the browser. I do not have access to Visual studio here because we can design ER from the browser itself which explains no access to label files.

Please suggest on how i can localise one template into multiple languages

***Answering my own doubt as i figured it out***

In the Edit formula of format control, I clicked on Translate > gave a custom label id which is new to the system now > gave default, system and user translation values > save the formula. Notice label gets automatically added in the formula with new label ID @"GER_LABEL:YourLabelID"

    Hi,

I found Different method to translate into more than 3 languages.
I have created one label field in Data model and written formula for that fields
I used "IF" function in the formula box and its works for me. Check below image
