What Duty or Privilege is required here?

In the Retail and Commerce module > Retail and Commerce IT > Email and notifications - there are two options that I cannot determine which duty or privilege is needed for them to appear for users assigned to a role. They are 'Send email receipts' and 'Clean up email notification logs'.

I cannot use the Security diagnostics trick to identify the requirements because these two options are not a separate page but a side panel that appears without that option.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi Jamie,

For the menu item Send email receipts, there is a privilege and duty both with the name: Maintain retail batches.

For the menu item Clean up email notification logs there is no out of the box privilege or duty. A system administrator is able to start this clean up job. You can also create a new privilege and duty for this purpose.

Thanks Andre! Your answer regarding 'Send email receipts' worked perfectly!

I am trying to avoid using sysadmin as much as possible so I would like to create a privilege for 'Clean up email notification logs'

Do you know which References I need to add to the new privilege to configure that properly?

Hi,

Just out of curiosity. Why do you need to add the permission 'Clean up email notification logs' to a specific role. This is a batch job that is set up once and maybe, if ever, modified by the System administrators.

Permissions are given to someone in order to process something frequently, but that is not in this case.

Hi Jamie,

As Andre suggested the email notification log cleanup is usually performed by a system administrator, but if you are looking at an alternative then you can go with either of the following options:

Privilege: SalesTableDetailView - View sales Order details. This Privilege that determines access to Commerce email Notification log. Would recommend creating a new privilege instead. Alternatively, you can also opt to extend the privilege SalesTableDetailMaintain - Maintain Sales order details.

Duty: However, you can extend either of the duties CollectionLetterCollectionStatusInquir - Inquire into Collection status or SalesOrderProgressInquire (Inquire into Sales Order Progress) or CashflowPositionDetailsDrillDown - Cash flow position details drill down.

There are multiple roles associated with the above mentioned duties and privileges, so based on the requirement it would be more logical to add the privilege and duty to a RetailService or a Retail related admin role.
