Does anyone have any experience with SL and Kaspersky Antivirus?

I just did an upgrade to 2011sp2 from 7.0 and the Kaspersky software ate it alive. It took 30 seconds or more to open any screen in SL with it loaded. Even when doing it by uninstalling Kaspersky/Install SL Client/reinstall Kaspersky.

The client's IT is ok with removing it and putting something else on luckily, but I would hope there is another solution.
