What is the best approach to work in Standard report in D365FO

Dear All,

Can you please let me know what is the best approach to work in Standard report in D365FO?

For example : If i wants to work in report "CustListReport". So, what process need to apply ?

I saw option "Create extension" and "Duplicate in Project" both are disable.

Please give me more shed on this.

Exactly! there is nothing now as "Best approach". it is single approach only which is "Extensions"

Documentation has been referred by previous contributor already. I would add, don't search for any best or worst approach. Just follow what Microsoft is saying. There are no other ways.

But the options Create extension is disabled. As I mentioned before also.

Please read the documentation, it contains answer to your question.

You will have a hard time working in development if you don't carefully study the documentation that Microsoft has provided.

Then you must define what you mean by "working with" a report. For example, if you want to add your own design to a standard report you can see link to the documentation in the doc that I already mentioned in my previous reply.

Means first I need to add report in to project then only it allows me to duplicate the report but no extension.
