Upgrading nav 2016, permission issues.

Hi Everyone,

I'm working on upgrading Nav 16 to 17. But during importing of merged files into nav 2017 i get error message as following:

Import-NAVApplicationObject : : [18023702] You do not have permission to modify the 'Dept - MBS' MenuSuite.
Contact your system administrator to have your permissions changed.

I have developer license uploaded, but it keeps showing me that, and i cannot continue. In exporting phase should i skip menusuites, or is there any workarounds.
thanks.

You cannot modify standard menusuite. Insteed design your own new menusuite.

    Hi

You can skip Menu suite  or Try to import Menu Suite objects in fob format.

thanks Suresh for quick reply. Hwo should i skip it, i mean during the export phase should i use some kind of filter. Now i have a all-merged file, which will be imported to the nav.

You can use Split-NAvApplication Object Powershell cmd to split and then use Join-NAVApplication Object cmd to join all the objects except menusuites

Or you can manually find that in the text file and delete that.
