Hello,

I have created a query and added some fields as range (to appear as 'Records to include' on my FormDialogue).

How can I set a specif default value for the range without using a DataContract?

Thanks.

    Hi Oush,

    What range or data you want to include?

    Can you give more specific information?

    Just put your data in range fields and allow user to change it

    Hi Oush Mi Ta,

    What types of Query ranges you want. E.g: Enumeration, Expressions or you just want to display string/value from Query? So we can figure it and help you. Regards

    Hi,

    This means you are using a query based report. In the SSRS report design, under parameters for the range field. you can set the default value, to Yes or No.

    Hope this answers to your question.

    Regards,

    Pradeep

    Actually I have created a query and used field quotationId as range.  I am using a DP to run my report and before it is run I have the QuotationId in the 'Records to include' section. Currently when I am running the report I have to manually insert the quotationId for which I want to run the report . How can I get the value of the selected quotationId to be displayed by default in the textbox when running report for quotation '0001' for example?

    Hi,

    This would help you.

    public void prePromptModifyContract()
    {
        //add a range in the report query
          SrsReportHelper::addParameterValueRangeToQuery(this.getFirstQuery(),tableNum(SSRSRepo
    rtDemo),fieldNum(SSRSReportDemo, RecId),SysQuery::value(this.parmArgs().record().RecId)); }

    Reagrds,
    Pradeep

    Thanks. I actually wanted a specif value to be displayed in the textbox without the user selecting a value. This worked.
