GP 2010 Setup on x64 Windows 10 RTM errors after prereqs before main screen with system.invalidoperationexception

Is there an issue with the GP 2010 install on windows 10 I assume.. I have tried this on two machines with the same results..

I cant get the main setup window to come up.. it errors out with that message.. the full message is:

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Deployment.UX.EntryPoint.GetDialogSequenceTypeFromImageType(DeploymentImage deploymentImage)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Deployment.UX.EntryPoint.Run()

    I've read this could be a corrupt install.. so I tried to download the files again from here and everytime I try, I get the message that your file will begin downloading momentarily, but it never pops up to download.. on IE I did install the manager, but nothing happens there either..

    I managed to get the download going by hitting f12 in IE and choosing version 9 to emulate.. now to see if corruption was the issue

    Ensure the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) enabled in Turn Windows features on or Off.
