reset production order status

hi

when i try to reset the status of a production order form started to released, i get an error stating

The status cannot be reset from Started to Released on production SER-000005 because of the parameter setup.

what parameter setting must i change to allow this? and will it let me reverse the status if i have receipted against the job? and if so does it reverse all the component consumption etc and put them back into stock?

thanks

mal

    Hello Raff,

Yes, basically you can configure how do you want to control status of production orders. For example you can allow producion people to be able to jump directly from operation scheduled to report as finished or force the people to use the long way:

    Operation scheduled/Released/Started/Report as finished

It means that they have to first Release the PO then Start and so on.

When resetting a PO you can also control how do you want to jump, for example you can allow to jump from Reported as finished to Estimated or again force to go all the way.

    Production Control>> Parameter >> Status

    Prashant

have you ever noticed on production receipt, the field batch number is never

on the screen by default? and even when i personalise and add the field and save, it disappears again?

Raff - Don't right click and personalize the form, hit the inventory dimensions button and select the Batch dimension, then save setup.
