AIF logging just for failed messages

Hi All,

Out of the box functionality, can AX 2012 AIF logging only keep the failed messages only instead of all messages? I am referring to the following AIF logging configuration.

Thanks,
David

Your given picture is not visible but you can change the setup log to ALL of that port.

Thank you for your reply. I am not sure why the picture is not showing. Regardless, what I am trying to do is actually to log just the 'failed' message instead of all messages. Do you have any idea?

History will have all messages but query manager display will not show the ones processed successfully, it will show records has error.

That is what I want to avoid (keeping all messages in history) as keeping all the history, with a heavy integration call, it will increase our database size too quick. So I am looking for a configuration in AX (without customization) to keep just the message with an error in the history (if there's any).

You cannot selectively record error messages for AIF documents, the only options out of the box are the following:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../hh202045.aspx

No logging, or all logging with various document detail level.

The logging is not intended to be turned on in a Production environment anyway, it is for short troubleshooting purposes only.

Even if you have logging disabled, you still get AIF exceptions/errors captured in the exception log, you just have no traceability in the exchanged document.

For that people are using a man in the middle, like BizTalk with which they could keep exchanged documents in case of an error.

    Hi Vilmos,

You are right, we won't be able to do this of the box after debugging it. I was planning to log the messages as it actually helped to look at the XML which was sent to AX to analyze any issue.

    Thanks again for your response.

    Thanks,

    David
