Amending Setup to AOAG

Posted on by 25

Hi All

I have just joined an organisation and having looked through the setup, have a couple of questions if someone could help?

The first one is, at the moment, the Dynamics DB sits on one server and not across a high availability group. Is it possible to amend this setup to point it at the Availability Group listener rather than directly to one server?

Looking through the forum, i can see that the connection string sits in a reg key via HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM.

Is it a case of amending the name of the datasource from the server it sits on to the name of the listener?

Thanks
