Trying to send Customer Statement - Get Excessive recursion detected error

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Good morning all, We have been using Business Central since November 2021. I have use the Customer Statement report to bulk send and download my statements up until the beginning of January, Suddenly I started getting the below error:

Excessive recursion has been detected in event subscriber function OnAfterSubstituteReport for event None that is raised in CodeUnit 44.

My Support company are working on this, however we are up to another Month end and I would like to be able to issue Statements in batch, therefore I was hoping someone in the forum might be able to help?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi

Can you please let us know if you are on SaaS version or On-prem? Also, do you know if recently any development has been done in your environment?

    See below info:

Thank you for answering! We are On-prem, and we have not had any recent development to my knowledge.

    Thanks for info

Can you try something? When you run the report it has a Advanced Section. Can you see if you increase numbers in this section you get a different result?

I don't even get to the Report screen; As soon as I search Customer Statements and click on it, I get the error above.

And this is for all users or only you? if all users then my best guess is related to below link. it could be change in development or report done by developer.  But I hope other experts here can help

Hi, got the same problem today, BC 20.3

Solved the problem by changing the Report to numer 1316

    Report Selection - Sales,

    Usage: Customer statement

Instead of report 153 replace with 1316.
