What causes difference in transaction currency and accounting currency when entity has only 1 currency

What causes difference in transaction currency and accounting currency when entity has only 1 currency?

The software uses "Accounting currency" for its reporting currency BUT if there is a difference between the two then that difference carries over to the rest of the forms (Trial balance, reports, etc...)

    Hi Dustin G.,

    To me it seems like a software glitch.

    Based on what I see above, the overall balance in your financial statements should be correct as the differences offset each other, right?

    If you run the closing-opening process in a demo/test system, can you replicate a similar issue?

    Is only one single account affected by this or do you have a lot of accounts that show similar +/- differences between the amount and amount in transaction currency field?

    Can you possibly find the underlying source of the Transactions that make up those amounts? Probably there might have been a related issue when they were originally posted.

    Hi Ludwig. Thank you for the fast response.

    The main account in my image is the closing account. The opening account has the same penny differences. The debit/credit totals do not match in the trial balance. They are off by the same pennies that the opening/closing accounts are off.

    I do believe that this is from transactions that occurred during the fiscal year but have yet to pinpoint them. I have not been able to reproduce the issue but I feel that once I am able to pinpoint some of the transactions it might help. 

    What puzzles me is that the software allows these differences to exist.
