Anyone used a Macro to import large quantities of users into Dynamics GP for the ESS module?

Or have a better /faster way to setup hundreds of limited or ESS users when implementing the Employee Self Service module?

I used macros do this in the past where setting up site with 300+ users, worked fine.

I sourced the information from Active Directory into a macro.

I also generated a password and sent an welcome email to each user using mail merge from same data, before the days of sensitivity with emailing passwords!

I would use the mail-merge method of creating the macro from an Excel Spreadsheet or anything else you can make an ODBC connection to. Include the dex.ini switch ShowAdvancedMacroMenu=TRUE and then open the first menu item and check the box to not show the user interface flash. Your macro will run about twice as fast with that box checked.
