Using LCS Data Loader on CRMOL 8.1. We had a connection established, but then it got stuck (i.e. got stuck "refreshing metadata" for over 2 hours. So we decided to delete and recreate the connection and now we get the error "The api app is not deployed properly: name='DynIntCrmManagement'".
Deployment ID is e51bfb80-b1a0-4029-bbb0-f091408117ea
Thoughts?

Through support, we were able to get access to the Data Loader logs. The problem was bad metadata related to 4 custom attributes that used the "Customer" data type. This is a new feature in CRM 8.1. When you create a field with "Customer" data type, CRM creates three hidden attributes (type, id and yominame). The problems is that when CRM creates the type attribute, it does it with the incorrect values (it should be "EntityName", but it is created with "Integer".
For more information on this bug, see [View:https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/crminogic/archive/2016/11/02/found-an-integer-attribute-with-unrecognized-format-new-customeridtype-solved:750:50]
But the bottom line is that the Data Loader error message is generic. And to figure out what is going on you need access to the logs.
BTW, when we finally got to importing the data, we had big issues with SQL and API timeouts. We were importing about 11,000 records ... and it took several tries to get all of it in (each retry we go more data imported....).
Does anyone know how to get access to the logs to find out what the real error is?
