How do you create a voucher item in POS 2009? I see that they have a voucher payment type, but there doesn't seem to be a voucher item. Where do you tell POS 2009 that the new item is a voucher?

Thanks Kevin. We were playing around with it and finally figured it out, but I do appreciate the time you took to answer. I was a little worried there for a minute. Jean

You do not need to create a new item when you sell a voucher (gift certificate). All you need to do is setup the payment type (making sure you mark it as a voucher). Then when you are ringing a customer up you click on Tasks then Vouchers and then select the payment type you just created and choose the amount and enter the voucher number. The alternate would be to create a task pad button to issue a gift certificate.
