Party List customization in appointment form

Posted on by 50

Hi,

Is there a supported way to customize party list in appointment form. If the "regarding/regardingobjectid" field is an account then the "required attendees" lookup [field of type party list] should only display contacts related to the selected account.

By default it displays account records. I need to click on the "look up more records", to select the associated contact for the regarding account.  I have tried java script with presearch and custom filter it is not working. The custom view works fine when I click on ""look up more records" but not at the first place when I select the required attendees lookup.

CRM version : 2016 CRM online

Thanks,

Prem

    Hi Prem,

    Could you please let me  how this was resolved. I have the same issue.

    Thanks,

    I got the solution for my question. Yes we can customize the party list in a supported way. Thanks to "Vilas Magar" for providing the solution to my query in a different forum. The two lines of code mentioned below solved my issue.

    var lookupDataOAReqAttendees = Xrm.Page.getAttribute('requiredattendees').getLookupDataAttribute();

           lookupDataOAReqAttendees.setLookupTypes(['contact']);

    CRM version : 2016 online 8.1

    Thanks,

    Prem

    Wayne Walton. Thanks for the reply.

    I thought we should be able to customize this. Refering to the blog below.

    The unsupported way:

    I have tried both but it is not working.

    You'll find your options relatively limited there, because that functionality is defined by Outlook/Exchange, and not really driven by CRM.
