Header Information in Body of Management Reporter Excel Exports

Hello,

When exporting a report to excel, one has the option of exporting header and footer information.  However headers and footers do not appear in the body of the Excel worksheet and are only visible to the end user in the Page Layout view, not the Normal View.  Is there a method to move the header information into the body of the Excel Worksheet without using macros?

Thanks

Jerry

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your response - the headers do show in the body of the Excel worksheet if you select to export to a single worksheet.  Just a new way of thinking about how to deploy the results.

    Thanks

    Hi Jerry,

The headers and footers are placed into the Excel Headers and Footers. In Excel 2010 this is in the following location:

    1. View | Page Layout - > Normal.

    2. Page Layout | Print Titles | Header/Footer

I believe using the Header/Footer features in Excel gives a more consistent experience.

I'm not sure if the end user knowing they can see this header in this location is sufficient. Otherwise you may want to log a suggestion on the Connect site if you think this should be displayed in a different or customizable manner.

There may also be a way to configure Excel to make this view more visible that I am not aware of.

    Thanks

    Ryan
