Invoice posted in closed period. Sales account and inventory are not effected. user gets the message : previous posting is under process. how is correct this.

Exactly where are you gettng this message? Are you trying to pull up the batch again or trying to enter a new invoice? You may have a stuck batch. Check out the hints in Dave Musgrace's article. blogs.msdn.com/.../releasing-stuck-batches-and-transactions-without-exiting-all-users.aspx
