Dynamics 365: Adding Microsoft Power BI Visualization to System Dashboard through IFrame

Overview: Create Dashboard from default solution or created solution and create individual IFrame for each Power BI Dashboard and uncheck restrict cross frame scripting to allow for Power BI to be viewed through the System Dashboard instead of personalized dashboard seen bellow. Here is an step by step process of connecting to Dynamics 365 Org using Content Pack with Microsoft Power BI.

 

1.       Connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Content Pack

2.       Connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Content Pack OAuth2
 2

 

3.       Create Visualization of Microsoft Dynamics Power BI
 3

 

4.       Save Microsoft Power BI Visualization Report
 4

 

5.       Pin Report to Dashboard
 5

 

6.       Create New Dashboard from New Pinned Power BI Dashboard
 6

 

7.       Publishing Report to Web from Power BI
 7

 

8.       Embed Public Report for PowerBI

9.       Report Is now embed in an IFrame which we will use to insert into Dynamics 365 Dashboard
