SOP Pick Ticket Form & RF Shipping Weight Sum Doubles

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

I have been working with SOP's Picking Ticket Form.  I have created a calculated field that takes the item master shipping weight and multiplies it times the qty field in the picking ticket form to provide a total line item weight for what is being "picked." The individual line item calculation is working correctly.

However, the bottom line sum of this field at the report footer is incorrect.  It is doubled.

I have checked and changed table linking.  I have added the item master table and the shipping methods table to this standard report linked to the sales trx amounts work table, and the sales trx work tables.  I have tried linking to the temp table this report uses as well.  Nothing fixes the bottom line total.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other areas of the report definition that I could check?

Other than the line section, and the section where the Sum version of this field appears, does it appear anywhere else?

Check carefully, it might be behind another field or marked invisible.

Could you post a screen shot of the calculated field...and the report layout?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for attempting to respond to my post.  I appreciate it.  Greetings to you in Ireland.  I had a friend who lived in Dublin from my old consulting practice at Accenture.

The field only appears in the body and the report footer.  I triple checked and could not find it anywhere else, and don't remember placing it somewhere else.  I was going to try  to design again from scratch.

I will try to grab a screenshot of the design.

Is the actual calculated field in the report footer?  Or just the sum of the calculated field?

    Hello Mr. Whaley,

Thanks for responding to my post.

The calculated field is at the body section with the line item.  It is set to take the qty field * shipping weight.  The calculated field is correct at each line item printing.

In the report footer, I have placed the calculated field again but set it to be a sum.

I am trying to determine if this is somehow related to linking and the temp table used for the pick ticket.  Any insight you may be able to offer is appreciated.

What you describe seems right. If you want to email me your reports.dic, I'll take a look. What version of GP?

Was a solution ever found for this?  I am having the same problem.  Using GP 2010.

    Thanks,

I was wondering if you would share your report for this?  I have a customer that would like to have the shipping weight on the packing slip also.

Unfortunately I was never able to resolve this problem.

Joanne - if you wanted to email me a reports.dic with just that report in it - or a customisation export - I can take a look. It should be possible to get exactly what you want.
