    RE: Inspiration for Purchase reports

    hi

Here are some ideas for reports related to purchase that could be useful for a dashboard with KPIs and filters:

Purchase Budget Analysis Report: This report compares the budgeted purchase amount against the actual purchase amount, helping you to identify variances and make better decisions. You can filter the report by vendor, item, department, or any other relevant criteria.

Purchase History Report: This report gives you a detailed overview of all the purchases made in a given period, including vendor information, item details, and purchase order status. You can filter the report by date range, vendor, item, or any other relevant criteria.

Vendor Performance Report: This report provides you with an analysis of your vendor performance based on various metrics such as on-time delivery, quality of goods, lead time, etc. You can filter the report by vendor, department, or any other relevant criteria.

Inventory Valuation Report: This report shows you the value of your inventory based on the purchase price, helping you to monitor your stock value over time. You can filter the report by location, item, or any other relevant criteria.

Freight Cost Report: This report gives you a breakdown of the freight costs associated with your purchases, helping you to identify the most expensive vendors or items. You can filter the report by vendor, item, or any other relevant criteria.

Purchase Order Status Report: This report provides you with an overview of the status of your purchase orders, helping you to identify bottlenecks or delays in the purchasing process. You can filter the report by date range, vendor, item, or any other relevant criteria.

These reports can be customized to suit your specific needs, and you can add additional filters or data points as required.

    Meier,

    Adding to the other replies...

Jet Reports and Power BI are the most popular paths users are taking. Jet Reports offers over a hundred free report samples. Both are easy to learn both online and in courses.

I have many Jet Report Samples if you want to see them.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi, Josh's suggestion is very good. For tools, Power Bi and Jet Report are commonly used. They all contain a lot of templates that you can test and use. I think this will help you find inspiration.

    Power BI:

    RE: Inspiration for Purchase reports

Stock value use the inventory valuation report.

Purchase budget depends on where you store the data. Could be in g/l budgets or in inventory budgets. Cost of freight depends on how you’re posting this. G/L account, item charges or item of type service.

Once you know more about your data you will have to determine what tool you will use to display the data.
