SLSTE Transaction Stuck in Series Posting

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I posted a transaction in the sales module and when I went to post in the GL module, the Batch ID (SLSTE00003308) is stuck in the Series Posting Window. It is already checked and when I try to unselect it, a window pops up stating "You cannot chage the status of a receiving batch." When I try to click Post, it says "You have not marked any batches for posting" even though the batch is selected.

Any help on these errors is greatly apppreciated. Our AR associate recently quit so I was forced to take over with little notice so I'm a total novice. I've done AR for years but never used systems with separate AR/GL modules.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much for your quick response. Turns out it was my associate's transaction. I was posting a bunch in the sales and assumed it was mine. Problem solved! Thank you!

Are you posting directly from the Sales Transaction Entry window (called transaction level posting)?  Typically when you see a GL batch with SLSTE, that's what it means.  If you are posting directly from the Sales Transaction Entry window, do you still have that window open?  If you do transaction level posting, the GL side of the batch will not finish until you close the Sales Transaction Entry window.  That's what the Receiving status means.
