I am managing a Dynamics 365 set up and I've noticed our live environment (LE) and development environments (DE) are not consistent.
It looks like there are some unmanaged solutions that have been created directly on the LE rather than being created on the DE, exported and then imported to the LE. As such, the DE is now not consistent with the LE.
I want to update the DE so that it is consistent with the LE so any future solutions can be properly developed on the DE and then exported to the LE.
Is the best way to go about this to export the missing solutions one by one from the LE and import them into the DE? Or is there a better/easier way to get the two to match up?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

I have the same question (0)If all your solutions are unmanaged in LE and if DE does not have any updates waiting to be installed in LE, it might be worth it just dropping DE completely and taking a copy from production:
docs.microsoft.com/.../copy-instance
Basically, if you are not sure what's the status of your DE, do a refresh from production.
Otherwise, there is always a chance you'll miss something that was added directly to the default solution in LE..
