Server Side Sync- Failing on Incoming and ACTS

I have exchange on-prem and crm on-prem.  On the email server profile, outgoing credentials are populated by incoming is not populated. Everything is set up for server side sync.  Would this be why outgoing server sync is successful and incoming is failing, also, appoints, contacts, tasks? I'm curious if incoming and ACTs use credentials?

    Thanks Kokulan.   The incoming credentials were not set and once entered, the sync was successful!

    Hi

    Yes most likely for that reason but If you test and enable a mailbox, you will be able to get the detailed error message as top why the incoming or the appointment one fails.
