Can TMS rate engines consider volume?

Hi,

My customer wants D365 TMS to retrieve the rate based on a combination of weight, zones and volume. They are not using containers. I can see from the Contoso demo data that wight and zones are supported in combination. But can volume be considered as well?

    Freight bill type

    I haven't seen volume but definitely consider needed in TMS area

    Hi Jacob,

    Yes you can use volume as a factor rate shopping. However international shipping concept of volumetric weight is used to determine out of weight and volume which value will be used for rate shopping.

    Use P2PVolumeWeight rate method or PostalZoneWeight along with volume factor in shipping carrier. 

    Dynamics 365 fully supports rate determination based on Postal codes, weight and volumes.
