I am getting a below error while running the SSAS reports from within AX 2012 R2 CU7.
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond <ip addr>:<port>
The <ipaddress> that shows in the error is IP of the OLAP DB Server.
The setup goes like this,
AXDB Server (also the reporting server) and OLAP DB Server are different. AX SSAS Extension and Client were installed in the OLAP DB Server for deploying cubes. I am able to successfully deploy and process the cubes.
When we run any SSAS report (Vendor Spend analysis reports in my case) the system was throwing the above error.
I understand, there were old threads discussing these problems, and I have gone thru them, but those don’t seem to solve my issue. Hence initiated the new thread. Please advise.
