Hi,

I would like to add my custom form to the System administration menu. On AOT, there is a System administration menu and system administration menu extension. I cannot edit both of them, and end up with to create a new extension which is called SystemAdministration.extension1 .

I am not sure if I am doing the right way here.

    Hi Yuji,

    The procedure is correct. Probably you can only use a better naming convention for your extension. You can only modify extensions created by yourself. The system administration.extension is part of the Application suite model which is not your own.

    It is always recommended to extend in your custom model and add your customized menu item in that. 'Extend, no Overlay' [tag:MSDyn365] :)

    To create the menu item in menu extension. Follow these steps:

    1) Create extension of the Menu in which you want to add the Menu Item.

    2) Select your project and press CTRL+SHIFT+A

    3) Create a Display Menu Item.

    4) In properties of the Menu Item, give your form name in Object property and select Form as Object Type.

    5) Drag the newly created Menu Item to the Menu.
    6) Select project and press Ctrl+F5
