Installing CRM on Windows Server 2016

Hello All,

Windows Server 2016 CU2 is a supported OS to install 2016/365 on-premise onto, I need some pointers as to the server roles that I should select for the application server (all CRM server roles will be deployed on this server with SQL on a separate box, this will be a IFD deployment). For WS 2012 R2 I have the below list of server roles & features to enable but some of these have been removed in WS 2016. So far I have the below mapping. This list can be used as reference - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/2016-edition-comparison#server-roles

ROLE/FEATURE 2012 R2 ROLE/FEATURE 2016
Application Server ?
.Net framework 4.5               .NET Framework 4.6
               Web Server (IIS) Support ?
               HTTP Activation ?
Web Server (IIS) Web Services (IIS)
               IIS Management Console ?
IIS Management Scripts and Tools ?
               Management Service ?

From what I've been reading Application Server isn't needed anymore but would like confirmation, also for the other features for Web Services, are these replaced with new features or are not required?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

To install this service, see the Windows Server documentation.

    IIS Admin

    World Wide Web Publishing

    Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service

    Windows Data Access Components (MDAC)

Microsoft ASP.NET (Must be registered, but does not have to be running.)
