Track visitors to website

Hello Community,

I would like to confirm if Dynamics 365 Marketing supports tracking of visitors to 3rd-party website - for example an organization's website home page. In this case, the website is an existing site that was built on other platforms. It's not a website built by using the Dynamics 365 Marketing app. In this scenario, is it possible to use Dynamics 365 Marketing to track visitors to the site?

And besides Dynamics 365 Marketing, can the same be achieved using ClickDimension? Which one is better for this use case?

Any insights would be appreciated.

    Hi D365_Eric,

    Dynamics 365 Marketing couldn't track the visitors' activities on the external website. You could embed forms on external websites and update the visitors' data back to Dynamics 365 Marketing. I'm unfamiliar with ClickDimension.

    Would you know if using the embed forms on external websites would allow tracking of visitor's data such as "Location", "Device", "Date/Time Stamp", and other click actions back to Dynamics 365 Marketing?

    No, embed forms would not tracking of visitor's data.
