Error while importing data

We are importing data from legal entity 'A' to 'B'  in AX 2009 version.

Exported Item master(InventTable) data from legal entity 'A' through definition groups, which came around 450 MB in size, file with .dat extension.

While importing this data in legal entity 'B' (file with extension .dat), getting error 'File can not be opened'.

Can some one experienced people,  please guide here..
