This is my first year issuing over 250 W-2's so I know I'm required to file electronically. Not sure where to start (I'm already registered with SS).

You will process the W2s for the employees just like you have always done and get those out to the employees in January but you will want to download the 2013 update for the changes in the electronic file for 2013 filers first You will then use the W-2 Magnetic Media menu item to create the electronic W2 file and send that off to the SSA. The process is quite simple. That screen will ask for the registration information you got from the SSA. I recommend that you hold off creating the electronic file until the employees all have their W2s and have not reported any issues. You do not have to file electronically by 1/31.
