webpack 5 makes yarn msdyn365 pack fail

When adding webpack 5 the building seams to be failing

Using the command : yarn msdyn365 upgrade-webpack

Running all latest versions...

I see that package.json is filled with additional dependencies, and the only way to get it building again is to clean up package.json and remove some folders

Is there something I have misunderstood ? Maybe upgrade to webpack 5 should not be done on 9.37+ environments ?

Webpack upgrade, sometimes can be a little “tricky”.

Deleting files and recreating files it not an uncommon approach. Most of these filesor /folders ae safe to delete, since are not tracked in source control and yarn recreates them
