How do you include the specs of a product in a quote?
Example:
Product: Microsoft SurfaceBook3
Specs: Ram -16gb, Processor -I7, Storage -512gb
Hi
You can try Extended Text.
Go to Item Card then Related -> Item -> Extended Text and enter those descriptions. in the bottom defined it should show up in which documents.
Then in item card turn on Automated Ext Text.
Now when you create quote for that item this text will be added as comment under item and it should show up in Quote.
You could also check out the use of Item Attributes.
docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-work-item-attributes
This can be a great way to help you standardize your products spesifications.
Hey Inge, Is there any way to have the attributes assigned show up in the quote?
Is there any xml mapping that needs to occur the in the quote template for this?
For Ext Text no mapping required because they will show up as a comment which is part of XML.
For attribute you need to test.
Utilizing the existing sales quote template, the extended text does not display. Any idea? I am using US Sales Quote - Timeless.
I just tried in 19.4 (sandbox) with Cronus data and same report and worked. See below.
When you add the part to Quote does it add the Ext. Text like below screenshot?
Thanks
It seems like there is something missing on my end. Once I build out the extended text tied to the item nothing populated on the sales quote page or the finalized quote.
Please see my setup below
