AX2012 CU3 version question

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

The implementation of AX2012 CU3 has the kernel version of 6.0.1108.6555. The application version is 6.0.1108.670.

I do not know (and can't find) if the kernel version is later than the application version. I see on the sites the application version lines up with CU3.

I need them to be the same but not sure what to update and where to get the hotfix?

Both application version looks CU3, and I think you must have installed some RTM latest hotfix (only binary updates) at kernel level and that is ok I believe. Do you see any issues?

I did install a hot fix (KB2936094) a while ago. We are installing an integration to a AP automation tool. The software integration throws an error stating the client version (..670) is not the same as the server version (...6555).

Make sure your AX clients are also updated with same binary updates. This issue is not related to your application and Kernel version but you AX client and server version.

    Thank you Ajit.

I did install the hotfix to the client and it is in sync now.

    Hi AJ Mark,

Maybe the following site helps you for getting an overview of the AX2012 versions

    blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../overview-of-microsoft-dynamics-ax-build-numbers

If you are on CU3 you might consider an upgrade to a more recent built.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Hi, thank you for your reply. I did check the ax build numbers. I will be reviewing the upgrade path (benefits) to 365.
