Error when trying to save an account record

When trying to save an account record I get the below error.  I can save other records on other entities with no issues. I also tried other forms on the Account entity, and I can't save a record under those either, so the issue is just with Account for some reason it appears.

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: Generic SQL error.Detail:
<OrganizationServiceFault xmlns:i="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="schemas.microsoft.com/.../Contracts">
  <ErrorCode>-2147204784</ErrorCode>
  <ErrorDetails xmlns:d2p1="schemas.datacontract.org/.../System.Collections.Generic" />
  <Message>Generic SQL error.</Message>
  <Timestamp>2019-03-15T13:05:05.5240547Z</Timestamp>
  <ExceptionRetriable>false</ExceptionRetriable>
  <ExceptionSource i:nil="true" />
  <InnerFault i:nil="true" />
  <OriginalException i:nil="true" />
  <TraceText i:nil="true" />
</OrganizationServiceFault>

I have reset IIS, turned trace on and didn't see anything that would help.

    Is it everyone or just your account?  Do you have Sys admin role or what permissions (roles) do you have?

    It is everyone.  I have sys admin role, and it doesn't work for me either.

    Hi

    The error message you shared is generic and does not point to the actual error or issue.

    Could you please enable tracing and get the actual error.

    If you can not done before, you could use the following tool to enable tracing

    archive.codeplex.com

    And use the following tool to read the log

    archive.codeplex.com

    And i would also check the Event viewer log to see if there are any errors

    If this is not a Production Environment, and if there are Plugins registered on Account, try after disabling the Plugin Steps.

    If it works, then enable the plugins one by one to find the culprit.

    What action you did recently in account entity ? If you have any plugin or custom workflow then try to deactivate them and see the result .

    In addition you should enable trace as suggested above to get details error.

    Thank you everyone for the responses.  When looking at the logs after turning trace on, found that it was looking for 5 fields that were not in the Account entity anymore.  Then there was a trigger under the AccountBase table that had these missing fields in there to capture the value and store it.  My DBA person removed any reference to the missing fields from the trigger, and then we were able to save an Account record.
