Manage dependencies - WBS - Project Module in D365

Hi,

I want to know if there is a parameter or a way to manage dependencies on a WBS in the Project Module in D365. 

I know that the dates are interdependent and change with date changes, but is there a way to control the task completion?

What I would like to achieve is that Task 2 shouldn't be able to be set to complete before Task1 is not complete. 

Is this functionality available with the WBS or not?

    Hi Keyla, 

    I assume that you have probably already seen the WBS ID and the the predecessor column. 

    That's how you can define dependencies.

    Thanks for your reply, yes I know about those, my question relates more to control on this column.

    Is there a setting where I specify that you are not able to set Task 2 (activity) as complete if Task 1 (activity) is not set to complete yet?

    Hi Keyla,

    I thought that you are looking for that :-)

    Yet, to my knowledge there is no such functionality available.

    A possible workaround might be to close the different tasks in the tracking view where you have a close button/checkbox available. Yet, this does not really look like what you are aiming for.

    Guess that you either use the standard application with this 'gap' or modify something.
