    Kirk is right,

Best way is to use an Return with Inventory, and don't forget to check the RMA box, so you can specify the location where the QTY is going to be returned..

I believe it is return with inventory.

Do I use return, return credit or inventory?

I believe it is Transactions--Purchasing--Return Entry.

    RE: Inventory adjustment

While you can use the inventory adjustment to reduce your qty on hand this is going to mess up your costing for the item. The cleanest solution is to process a return in purchasing to preserve the proper cost.
