Getting error on updating a field - Length of indexed attribute can not be updated

Hello,

I am trying to update the length of Subject field in Email entity from 850 to 3000. On update, I am getting below error-

'Length is not valid because this is an indexed attribute and hence cannot have size greater than 1700.'
I tried below solutions :
 - export attribute in Solution, edit customization XML file & replace new length. On reimport I was getting same error.
 - I have removed the entity from relevance and customized search
 - I have removed the field from Quick Find view.
Still the error is occurring.
Any solution on removing this error?

    Hello friend,

    As this field is a native one, and there is already an internal index called ndx_StateCodeSubject, there is no way to update subject size to any value greater than 1700.

    1700 is the maximum value allowed on this Subject field on Email entity.
