Hello,

Has anyone encountered an issue with Dynamics GP 2016 R2 in having the Reporting Tools Setup accept the login to PowerBI. It worked at the beginning but then for some reason it cannot login anymore "This login failed. Attempt to login again or contact your system administrator".

I can connect to the PowerBI site with no problem, generate the Client ID with no problem. But GP still cannot login with that key.

Any ideas?

The GP Application uses the odbc connection string as part of the password encryption. If you login to GP as 'sa' and reset the user password it will work for GP again but will no longer work for PowerBI. If you reset the password in SQL I believe it will begin working for PowerBI but will no longer work to login to the GP Application. The last time I used PowerBI I authenticated to SQL via my AD account.
