How to avoid adding to marketing list when merging contacts

Hello,

When we merge contacts we have noticed that the deactivated contact's marketing list membership is transferred over to the master/merged contact.

This has lead in some cases to contacts being added to a Click Dimensions campaign automation linked to that marketing list (which we do not want to happen).

So, does anyone know of any way of excluding marketing list membership from the merge process (but retaining the rest of merge functionality).

Hi,

This is the expected system behavior and there is no information of a supported way around this.
We are not able to interfere with the SYSTEM and some things are hardcoded, which makes it impossible for corrections at this point in time.
