Which SQL version is supported for Platform Update 10.0.37

Hi Experts,

We are planning to update the finance and operations version. Currently I am on 10.0.31 version and having SQL version 2016 installed. We are trying to update the version to latest i.e. 10.0.37. Do I need to update the SQL version also to 2019? or 2016 will be compatible with 10.0.37 finance version. What other things will I need to update also like ADFS etc. Our environment is on-premises.

Hi Ammad,

SQL Server 2019 is supported. You can read the next page where an upgrade from SQL server 2016 to 2019 is mentioned. Upgrade or replace the SQL Server instance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance + Operations (on-premises) environments - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

I think SQL Server 2016 will still work, but you should test that carefully yourself.
